Constructive Community Builders, Inc. is a community workforce development organization established in response to the conditions of deprivation that are thriving in our north side Kalamazoo community: Nearly 30 percent of our residents are unemployed and the prevailing shortage of affordable housing leads to increased homelessness in the community. These are hard times for southwest Michigan’s Counties: Kalamazoo, Berrien, Cass, Calhoun, St. Joseph and VanBuren. CCBI believes our training program will positively impact these conditions, resulting in employment and/or self employment in the building trades and increased availability of affordable homes. We intend to enhance the employability of community members and develop affordable housing for low and extremely low income individuals within the open housing market wherever such opportunities exist and/or may be created.
